The 2017 Ram Rampage is more than just a part of the ever-complicated solid pickup market. It made its appearance in the ’80 and managed to sustain itself under some very adverse conditions and in spite of heavy competition.
2017 Ram Rampage Release Date
The 2017 Ram Rampage is set to be released by the end of 2016. However, given the circumstances surrounding its production, we should not expect it until the last quarter of 2016, just to be sure.
Price for Ram Truck Rampage 2017
The starting price of the base model of 2017 Ram Rampage should be around $17,000. It seems reasonable enough, considering the competition and the high quality vehicle that is on offer.
Naturally, option for a more powerful engine and additional equipment will surely inflate the initial cost, but this should not be much of an issue for a discerning buyer.
Exterior of Ram Rampage
From the outside, the 2017 Ram Rampage slightly resembles trucks you’d expect to see in South America and some parts of Europe. For now, only the two-door Rampage has been confirmed, although there are plans for a four-door version if the sales warrant it.
The latter should be far more practical and spacious, although the two-door version can be just as useful. As with most trucks, the body is unitary in order to ensure safety of the occupants, not to mention added stability and flexibility.
But this particular truck shows all the telltale signs of a true Ram, including a typical Ram grille – slightly updated, of course. The LED lights are also a must.
Ram Rampage Interior
If the outside of 2017 Ram Rampage is typical of its manufacturer and class, the same could be said about the inside as well – and that is a good thing. Every potential owner can look forward to high quality materials, comprising mostly of leather and cloth.
The central console now holds a brand new infotainment unit, which should also house optional navigation system, apps and various controls to name a few.
2017 Ram Rampage Engine
Engine-wise Ram Rampage will feature two engine options, as far as the 2017 model goes. One is a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine (naturally aspirated), meant primarily for the South American market. The maximum power output of this engine should be around 110 hp.
The other option is slightly bigger, possibly a 2.4-liter engine, also naturally aspirated. The power output as well as torque should be significantly higher, as well. The 2.4-liter engine should produce up to 180 hp and roughly 200 lb-ft of torque.
The transmission can be either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic. We can expect fornt-wheel drive as well as an all-wheel drive. Fuel efficiency is going to increase even further on this model. The fuel efficiency of this engine should be quite high.
You should reasonably expect around 18 miles on a gallon in the city, or 27.5 miles on the highway. CO2 emissions will also be much lower, in order to pass this as an eco-friendly version – a shrewd marketing move which will surely benefit the sales performance.
