While waiting for more exciting vehicles to write about, we came across some interesting developments regarding the 2017 Nissan Navara and its specs. Unfortunately, the exact figures have yet to be revealed, but we have finally amassed enough data to make an accurate assessment.
The 2017 Nissan Navara is expected to reach the showrooms by late 2016 or early 2017.
2017 Nissan Navara Price
The exact price of the 2017 Nissan Navara is still unknown, but considering the competition as well as previous models, it is hard to imagine the base version going for anything less than $20,000.
However, based on the cabin choices and additional equipment, these costs can certainly rise some more.
Exterior of Nissan Navara
The exterior of the 2017 Nissan Navara has a lot to do with the cab configuration that the driver will choose. It all depends whether you want to emphasize driving comfort over the amount of stuff you can haul or go in the opposite direction.
One type is more narrow than the other, but overall it will not make that much of a difference to anyone other than you. And you would be more concerned with navigation through those narrow streets than caring about much else.
Still, you cannot help but be impressed by the V-type front grille with all that chrome. This is especially evident around those fog lights and mirror caps. The new LED daytime running lights fit nicely into the fray as well. The chrome bumpers are a nice addition too, but functionality has trumped aesthetics yet again.
Nissan Navara 2017 Interior
Inside the 2017 Nissan Navara we can expect to see everything that made Nissan cabins so great: the clean and spacious cabin with lots of hard buttons and fine upholstery.
The controls on the steering wheel have been made more functional in order to facilitate a more enjoyable driving experience. The clusters and infotainment remain mostly the same, as there was no need to fix something that wasn’t broken to begin with.
Naturally, additional features such as better seats and satellite navigation are always good to have, but not always easy to afford.
The key word here is functionality, as everything inside the cabin has a clear purpose and is not there just for show. This is a no-nonsense vehicle for drivers who know their stuff.
Nissan Navara Engine
Now, as far as the engine selection of the new 2017 Nissan Navara goes, there are lots of rumors, but nothing substantial at this point.
For one, the old 2.5 L inline engine with four cylinders will either get reworked into a more powerful version of the one capable of dishing out 152 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque.
Overall, both of these figures are expected to rise well above 200, but the official numbers are not in just yet.
Also, we are most likely going to see the old 7-speed automatic transmission making a comeback. Another version that was mentioned was the updated version of the 2.8 L Cummins turbo-diesel, but this is still a rumor, of course.
