The 2016 Kia Rio is an upgraded version of the company’s best selling car, and the news about the coming of this new model has made a quite an echo in the car fans world, and on the internet as well.

As far as the exterior goes, when compared to the previous model, the new Rio Sedan comes with a bit sportier look, due the new front and back fascias. At the front end, there is a new “Tiger Nose” grille, while the headlights and fog lights are now slightly concave.
Furthermore, the new bumper is larger and straighter than it used to be, and it has new horizontal lines in its lower section. When taking a look at the back, you will notice that the back end of the car has a wider look, thanks to a set of new backlights, that are now positioned closer to the outside.

When it comes to interior, Kia has fitted the new Rio with more high-density foam, resulting in the reduction of the noise and vibration. Furthermore, the inside comes with a piano-black center console and satin-finish bezels placed around the air vents.
A new Designer Package offers black cloth seats, with accents of leatherette highlights and gray stitching. The base model, the LX, comes with standard features like: electric power steering, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, 6-way manual driver’s seat, air conditioning, Sirius XM capabilities, USB port, and hill-start assist.
The EX model has all that, plus, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with mounted cruise controls, power windows, and keyless entry. The SX model adds to everything, an upgraded navigation system, steering column-mounted paddle shifters and leather-wrapped steering wheel, backup camera, Supervision meter, and a power sunroof.

Under the hood, the new Rio comes with the same 1.6 l 4-cylinder engine used in the previous model. It is capable of delivering 138hp and 123 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission which sends the power to the front wheels. As far as the acceleration goes, there will be little or no change, the estimated top speed is still 105 mph, while from 0 to 60 mph, yet again it needs 9.5 seconds.
