One of the most distinct cars from the Honda lineup was the 2016 Honda Crosstour. This model was first presented back in 2010 and at the time it was called Accord Crosstour, but the Japanese manufacturer decided later to shorten the name.
However, the first name was really appropriate, especially if you take in account that this model is a mix of two other Honda cars – the Accord and the HR-V. The result of this mix was a practical, but really different car in term of looks.
Since the sales were not so good, Honda decided to stop producing the Crosstour at the of 2014. However, it seems that the market has changes, since the rumors are suggesting that the Japanese manufacturer is working on the brand-new 2016 Honda Crosstour.
Exterior of Honda Crosstour 2016
When it comes to the exterior, the new 2016 Honda Crosstour should be same in in length and width as the current Honda Accord, since the two cars are using the same platform and the Crosstour is practically based on the Accord.
Reports suggest that the Japanese manufacturer plans to use a completely new design for the new 2016 Honda Crosstour, however, it should not be something radical, since it should fit in the current Honda lineup.
On the front of the car, Crosstour will most likely look like all the new cars recently released by Honda, however, the back could be the problem for the Japanese manufacturer, since most of the reviews stated that the back of the previous models was simply horrible.
Some experts even said that the back of the first Crosstour looked like it belonged on a hatchback. However, since there are no official images of the upcoming 2016 Honda Crosstour, we will have to wait and see the final design.
Honda Crosstour Interior
In the last few weeks a lot of different reports about the 2016 Honda Crosstour surfaced on the Web and some of them focused only on the interior. Most of the reports suggest the same thing – the new Crosstour is going to have interior borrowed from another Honda model – most probably from the current Accord.
However, since the 2016 Honda Crosstour is going to be bigger than the current Accord, the manufacturer is able to provide more space for all five passengers, even to those in the back, which is something that Accord can’t.
When it comes to the features and equipment, the new 2016 Honda Crosstour is going to be packed with new features, some reports even suggest that dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation are all going to be standard.
