2016 Cadillac ELR exterior and interior design
When it comes to the dimensions, this coupe is one of the smallest cars in the company’s luxury lineup. The exterior pretty much remains the same, with recognizable front and rear lights and Cady’s signature trapezoidal grille. The coupe has stylish and aggressive look.
The cabin of this model has the latest Cadillac interior refinements and inside it’s all about the leather. The seats and most of the other surfaces are cluttered in leather or in some other soft – touch material like suede or leatherette.
Front seats provide enough room, but the problem is in the rear seats, because they don’t offer enough space, so full – size adults will have trouble getting in and feeling comfortable during the ride.
Tech wise, there is an 8 – inch touch screen display. The instrumental panel is thinner and it is positioned at the center stack. The impressive features in this car are standard Bose 10 – speaker audio system, TFT gauge cluster and a lot of advanced electronic safety features.

When the most of the battery power is spent, the car is switched to the Extended mode (ER) and the car uses the 1,4 – liter four-cylinder internal – combustion engine. In this mode, larger generator produces 181 hp and the whole hybrid system cracks out 207 hp and 295 pound – feet of torque, and goes from 0-to-60 mph in about 8 seconds.
With this drivetrain combo and 16,5 – kWh lithium – ion battery pack, this model can travel around 350 miles. The 2016 Cadillac ELR is most efficient when running on battery power. So, with all – electric range only, it can offer 37 miles on a full charge according to the EPA.
